Specs at a Glance
2024 Kia Seltos vs 2024 Kia Telluride
The Kia Seltos is a compact SUV ordained to entertain today's smaller families. Meanwhile, the Kia Telluride takes up duties as preferred transportation for families who need three rows and a larger build. It's easier to maneuver as a mid-size model than a large SUV but still leaves room for smaller families. And while they're two distinct SUVs, they share some award-winning characteristics from the Kia family.
Performance
As the smaller of the two models, the Kia Seltos boasts two powertrains: one rated at 146 horsepower and another rated at 195 horsepower. That's a lot of power for an SUV on the smaller side. Still, it's less horsepower than you'll get from the 3.8L V6 engine, which is standard for every Telluride. With 291 horsepower and up to 5,000 pounds of towing capacity, the Telluride is usually preferred by families who need more power.
Appearance
The 2024 Seltos comes in both monotone and two-tone paints. A Telluride keeps things solid with only monotone paints like Wolf Gray and Dawning Red. A Seltos will look more compact because it is more compact but still shares some of the same musculature as the Seltos. Both have deep door panel ripples and a low-sitting hood. Blacked-out wheel options and accents are available for both. The most significant difference between these two is the size. For a more full-bodied SUV, the Telluride is the answer. For those who prefer sleek, racier looking SUVs, the Seltos is excellent.
Features
A Seltos and Telluride will come with Kia's reliable and fun technology, but the Telluride starts bigger. If screen size is more important to you, the Telluride's 12.3-inch touchscreen display is more significant than the Seltos's 8-inch touchscreen display. Upholstery will vary by model as well. The Seltos ends with a stunning Black, Brown, or Green SynTex upholstery for its fully loaded interior. A fully loaded SX Prestige X-Pro Telluride offers Black, Sage Green, or Terracotta Nappa leather seat trim, something that's very important to some of our customers. Depending on your style and performance, either of these Kia SUVs would be a dream buy. The only way to find out which one fits your needs better is to stop by to test drive with us at our dealership.
