Kia's 2026 Sportage design is all new and ready for the masses. You'll find a handsomely reworked front and rear-end style, generous new wheel options, and standard vertical LED headlamps. That's just the exterior of the new Sportage! There's a whole lot more new waiting for everyone on the interior. Our dealership will have both the LX and SX trims available for our customers. Before you choose, here are a few important differences to consider.
Performance
A gas-powered Sportage LX and SX comes equipped with a 187-horsepower 2.5L 4-cylinder engine and 8-speed automatic transmission. An LX and an SX will differ in their drive because they have different driver-assist features that affect how the car performs. For example, an LX comes with Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go and available all-wheel drive with Terrain Mode. SX trims get Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go - Curve, roof rails for added ruggedness, and power-folding sideview mirrors that offer a different experience in tougher driving situations.
Appearance
Even though it's a base model, the 2026 Sportage LX is a sharp looker. It boasts 17-inch alloy wheels with a machined finish and LED projector headlamps with LED rear combination taillights. SX trims showcase a panoramic sunroof and 18-inch alloy wheels. Choose from colors like Panthera Metal, Nebular Blue, and Runway Red.
Features
If you opt for the Sportage LX, you'll get 12.3-inch dual panoramic displays with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and push-button start with remote start. There are a few important additions to the SX, including an 8-speaker Harmon Kardon premium audio system, Highway Driving Assist, and Navigation, all available on your 12.3-inch dual panoramic displays. Driver-assist features available across both trims include automatic emergency braking with pedestrian, cyclist, and junction turning detection, along with front and rear parking sensors. Both the LX and SX make for great family vehicles. Which one is right depends on how sporty you like your Sportage design and just how much you need in terms of driver-assist features and extras.
