The spunky 2016 Kia Soul lands on the market this year with a variety of brand-new and updated packages. Adding an extra splash of style to the compact car is a new Designer Collection package that gives the Soul a two-tone paint scheme, enhancing its eccentric appearance. On Exclaim models, buyers can choose to take advantage of a newly available Premium Package packed with advanced technologies and innovative amenities that take the driving experience to new heights. Fresh on the scene for 2016, the Kia Souls is once again available in three trim levels: Base, Plus and Exclaim. Each model comes with alloy wheels this year, while the Plus gains fog lights, Rear Camera Display and black bumper "tusks." A collection of first-class packages are also being offered on the 2016 Kia Soul in Phoenix, improving the driver experience. A Convenience Package on base models comes with Rear Camera Display, satellite radio and a 4.3-inch touchscreen, while a new Premium Package on Exclaim models sports Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning and navigation, to name a few. Additionally, a brand-new Designer Collection package adds 18-inch alloy wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and two-tone color combinations: red with a black roof or white with a red roof. The previously available Umber Package also now comes with HID headlights, increasing driver visibility.

Unchanged this year is the Soul's engine options. The base 2016 Kia Soul in Phoenix continues to feature a direct injection 1.6L four-cylinder engine, delivering 130 horsepower and 118 lb.-ft. of torque. However, the Plus and Exclaim models come outfitted with a 2.0L engine that delivers 164 horsepower and 151 lb.-ft. of torque. The four-cylinder is paired with a six-speed manual and is available with a six-speed automatic, while the 1.6L engine comes strictly with the latter. Both displacements produce excellent power and help the Soul achieve optimal performance.
