Available Trims and Features

There are five trim levels for the new Sorento, which have either five- or seven-seat configurations. The five trims are the L, LX, EX, SX, and SX Limited, and 2017 Kia Sorento reviews praise the advanced features and outstanding comfort found across the lineup.

Features included on the standard L trim are stain resistant fabric upholstery, Bluetooth connectivity, satellite radio, and USB and AUX inputs. When you move up to the LX, you get additional roof rails, a rearview camera and a 4.3-inch touchscreen interface. The LX also comes with the option of the Convenience package, which consists of additional features like smartphone integration, heated front seats, and, onthe V6 engine option, a blind spot monitor.

The Sorento EX comes standard with the features included in the LX Convenience package, as well as keyless ignition, leather upholstery and manual sun shades in the second row. Additional package options include the Premium and Advanced Touring bundles, which add features that come standard in the SX and the SX Limited.

Going up to the higher-grade SX will get you an upgraded instrument cluster, a hands-free liftgate, a special exterior trim, a 10-speaker Infinity sound system and an 8-inch touch screen interface with a navigation system. The top-of-the-line SX Limited features luxury-oriented features such as an upgraded interior and advanced technology.

2017 Kia Sorento Capability and Performance

Each trim of the 2017 Kia Sorento in Phoenix comes standard with a six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive, although all-wheel drive is available. The L and LX come standard with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 185 horsepower and achieves a combined 24 miles per gallon (FWD). The EX is standard with a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine that produces 240 horsepower with 23 MPG combined (FWD). The LX and EX also have the option of a 290-horsepower, 3.3L V6 engine, which comes standard on the SX and the SX Limited.
