Updates on the 2018 Kia Sorento

For the new model year, each trim of the Sorento offers greater headlamp performance and features a new headrest design that maximizes comfort. The L trim also gains automatic headlights, while the LX receives standard third-row seats on all-wheel drive variants and is offered with a Cool & Connected Package.

Sorento EX adds a host of new standard equipment, such as a power liftgate, power-folding outside mirrors, an auto-dimming mirror, auto up/down windows and a supervision meter cluster, on versions with the Turbo engine. EX models with the V6 gain these same amenities along with the Advanced Touring Package and autonomous emergency braking.

SX models get even more amenities, such as ran-sensing wipers, an auto-dimming mirror with Homelink and the SX Limited V6 engine.

Sorento Engine Options

Three different engines can be equipped on the 2018 Kia Sorento in Phoenix. Buyers can choose between a 2.4L I-4, 2.0L turbo I-4 and 3.3L V6. The 2.4L powerplant produces 185 horsepower and 178 lb.-ft. of torque, while the 2.0L turbo generates 240 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque.

The 3.3L V6 delivers 290 horsepower and 252 lb.-ft. of torque. All three powerplants are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.

What Safety Features Are on the 2018 Sorento?

The new Sorento model comes with a number of standard and available safety technologies that work to keep you secure on the road. Everything from Autonomous Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning and Lane Departure Alert to Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert and Smart Cruise Control are offered.
