What's New for the 2019 Kia Rio?

The 2019 Kia Rio still keeps many of the basic features of the previous model. With these beneficial factors, it can be difficult to find a reason for improvement. For example, this model still retains the same safety features as the last model. For a car of this size and capability, these features do what they need to in order to keep you and your passengers safe. There are still some significant changes that give you an enhanced experience compared to the previous model. The standard transmission went from the 6-speed manual with overdrive to 6-speed automatic with overdrive. There are still plenty of other features available to make you look forward to this vehicle.

What are the Rio Trims and Features for 2019?

The 2019 Rio comes in two trims and three configurations: the LX four-door Sedan, the S four-door Sedan, and the S four-door hatchback. There are a number of consistencies between the three configurations, such as the drive, engine, number of seats, and combined MPG. But there is a distinction in the choice of colors. All three configurations have the options of silky silver, aurora black, and clear white. The S Trim, however, has three additional colors to choose from: currant red, deep sea blue, and phantom gray. Another difference is the transmission. As mentioned previously, this generation of Kia Rio has an automatic transmission as its default. The S Trim now has auto-manual included for those still used to manual or semi-manual from the last model.

How Much Power & Performance Does the Kia Rio Have?

2019 Kia Rio Front GrilleAll versions of the 2019 Kia Rio have an engine that gives 130 horsepower. This is a car made for the hard-working consumer with a nine to five job. For a Sedan, this amount of horsepower delivers what you need in a car for workplace transportation and casual outings. With this amount of horsepower, a typical amount of liters for a sedan and engine of this type is 1.5. However, the 2019 Kia Rio has 1.6 liters. As small as that extra seems to be, it makes all of the difference on how many trips you can make to and from work. The engine cylinders are in the formation of I-4. Though not meant for racing or other heavy-duty use, this can save you money because it's more likely to be used for casual transport. In addition, it's also assumed that you will use regular gas, which is highly recommended.

Kia Rio Safety Tech Features

2019 Kia Rio RearThis vehicle contains both front disc brakes and rear drum brakes. This helps to increase the control of your car for more abrupt and slippery stops. Sedans are known for having driving control problems in more icy weather conditions, so this feature can potentially ease your fears during the winter. There are also the two-way head restraints available for the passenger and driver. They're conveniently adjustable for the height of individuals that sit in any of those two seats. These head restraints even allow for tilting. This horizontal adjustment can come in handy for certain headgear or hairstyles. The 2019 Kia Rio contains a plethora of other safety features, including a rear center seatbelt, brake assist, and traction control, just to name a few.
