What's New for the 2025 Kia Niro Hybrid?

Changes are minimal for the Kia Niro Hybrid in 2025, but that's no problem because the Niro Hybrid is an exceptional car to begin with. The Niro Hybrid gets minor design tweaks for 2025, namely eliminating a black aeroblade on some trims. While the Kia's standard list of conveniences stays the same, the SX Touring trim now gets the Cold Weather package as a standard item.

What Are the 2025 Niro Hybrid Trims & Features?

The 2025 Kia Niro Hybrid comes in two trim levels.

The base model is the EX. It comes with a nice list of standard features that includes a sporty exterior with roof rails and 16-inch wheels. The EX has heated side mirrors and a heated windshield for safer driving in cold weather. Inside, occupants benefit from synthetic leather upholstery, and the front seats are heated. For technology, the base trim includes a wireless phone charger, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay with smartphone pairing, a 10.25-inch touchscreen display, and a separate digital instrument display of the same size.

Additional features come with the SX Touring, including a now-standard cold-weather package with heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, and a stronger cabin heater. Additionally, the SX Touring adds a power liftgate and full LED lighting in front and back on the outside. The SX Touring also has larger 18-inch wheels. A sunroof is added to the SX Touring, and both front seats are ventilated and heated. The SX Touring also has a digital key system that allows you to access the Kia using your smartphone as a key. With the SX Touring, you'll also get synthetic leather upholstery and a Harman Kardon sound system.

Some features are optional for the Kia, including carpeted floor mats, a cargo cover, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

How Much Horsepower Does the 2025 Niro Hybrid Have?

The Kia uses a 1.6L four-cylinder traditional gasoline engine combined with a 62-kW electric motor with an 11.1-kWh battery. This system produces 180 horsepower and up to 195 pound-feet of torque. The Kia has an automatic six-speed transmission and front-wheel drive.
