Details about the all-new 2016 Kia Sorento are finally starting to filter out and what we've seen is pretty impressive. Sporting a greater towing capacity, more passenger and cargo space and a new turbocharged engine, the 2016 Sorento is a three year feat of design and engineering, which spawned from the Cross GT concept that premiered in 2013.
The Sorento has been fully redesigned this year, with Kia giving the crossover a stronger body structure, as well as several options that shoppers can customize depending on their needs. One of the best customizable features on the crossover are the three engine choices offered on the 2016 Kia Sorento in Phoenix. Shoppers can choose from either the all-new 2.0-liter turbocharged four cylinder, the 2.4-liter four cylinder or the powerful 3.3-liter V6.
"The all-new Sorento has been passionately designed and obsessively crafted, delivering class-up premium materials and features in a more capable package," said Orth Hedrick, vice president, Product Planning, KMA. "Increased use of advanced high-strength steel and additional structural reinforcement have resulted in improved torsional rigidity, which pays dividends behind the wheel in the form of better ride comfort and driving dynamics. Couple that with significant reductions in NVH and it's clear that the 2016 Sorento sets Kia's new standard for the blending of refinement and capability."
Inside, look for the new 2016 Sorento to sport premium textures and soft-touch materials. Other options include either a 40/20/40 second-row folding five-passenger seat configuration or a 50/50 third-row folding seven-passenger seat configuration. Interior luxury features include heated and ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof and premium Nappa leather, depending on the trim.
The 2016 Kia Sorento is coming to Phoenix early next year. Once it arrives, be sure to stop by Camelback Kia to test drive this terrific crossover!
