The 2014 Kia Soul & Optima have been recognized for their appeal in the automotive market, earning Vehicle Satisfaction Awards from marketing research company AutoPacific. A popular model under the Kia namesake, the Optima won for the second year in a row for Best-In-Class Mid-Size Car and the Soul took home its first-ever award for Best-In-Class Compact Car. Since the 2014 models of each of these cars arrived on the scene, their sales have grown tremendously and more people than ever before are experiencing the joys of owning a Kia.
In their 18th year, AutoPacific's Vehicle Satisfaction Awards are given out to identify the most attractive cars on the market and help buyers make informed decisions when purchasing a new car, truck or SUV. To accumulate the list of winners, AutoPacific surveys more than 92,000 car owners and uses 51 different attributes, including fuel economy and performance, to measure their satisfaction with their car. The overall results they receive from conducting these surveys give them exactly what they need to select winners for their awards, and for 2014, the Optima & Soul are frontrunners for the accolades.
"With today's tough competition in all segments, these AutoPacific Vehicle Satisfaction Awards are a result of our continued efforts to elevate the Kia brand by delivering a winning combination of European-influenced design, world-class quality and cutting-edge technology - all at a great value," said Michael Sprague, executive vice president of sales and marketing, KMA. "Customer demand continues to climb for these great vehicles, and we're glad to see the AutoPacific survey confirm what our sales results have already told us."
