Night golf may seem a little counterintuitive, but Palo Verde Golf Course in Phoenix is taking the game to a whole new level. Starting on July 12, 2015 and running through the end of October, the popular golf course will be hosting a 9-hole game for players who are looking to beat the heat this summer.

“The fun of playing at night is what makes the program fun,” said Lori Murray, a golf professional at Palo Verde. “Seeing your golf ball streak across the night sky, the colors are vivid.”

So how does Night Golf work? Well instead of traditional golf balls, players will be using glow balls. This allows players to keep track of them as they would with a normal game of golf and adds just a little bit of magic to the ancient game. The colorful fun doesn't stop there; players will also receive glow necklaces, while the course will be lined with glow lights.

Start times vary for each game, but they usually begin around 6 p.m. or 7 p.m. The cost of admission is $25 per person. For more information about this terrific event in Phoenix, call 602-249-9930 or visit the Palo Verde Golf Course website to pre-register for a game. We hope you will join your fellow golfing Phoenicians this summer at Night Golf!
