If you’ve been looking for an awesome new sedan that plays awesome tunes, you’ll be happy to learn that the newly redesigned 2016 Kia Optima will now feature both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The 2016 Optima will be the first Kia model to use both systems, as the automaker looks to expand this popular technology across its entire line. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are some of the most in-demand new entertainment systems, taking advantage of the convenience and popularity of the ubiquitous smartphone. Basically, these new systems incorporate the driver’s smartphone into their in-car infotainment system, allowing people to listen to music, make phone calls and get directions.

With the new Optima, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will be working with Kia’s Uvo infotainment system. It will also work with a brand-new Infinity sound system that sports an impressive 14 speakers. Other new Uvo features include new amenities dedicated to teen drivers like speed alert, driver score and curfew alert.

Kia will most likely roll out the rest of this new infotainment system sometime in late 2016 to the rest of its popular cars like the Sedona, Soul and Sportage. For now, stop by Camelback Kia to see all the great new features on the 2016 Kia Optima.
