The hardest part of growing up is accepting that you are too big to climb on a jungle gym or play with the fun stuff children get to—or are you? On August 20, 2016 from 7-11 p.m., the Children’s Museum of Phoenix is hosting “Play Date,” a night for adults to relive the fun and magic of childhood with a grown-up twist.

Every month, the museum hosts an adult-only night for those 18 and older. Attendees have access to a slew of interactive exhibits spanning three floors, including the giant Climber structure. The museum also sets up activities like giant beer bong, Pie Face, Twister and “old school” video games. Show off your sweet Pac-Man skills to all your friends!

This month’s can't-miss event also has a special Pokémon GO theme. The museum hosts three PokeStops and rumors that over twenty Pokémon appear on-site, including Onix, Eevee and Abra. With the museum setting complimentary lures, you’re bound to “catch ‘em all.” You’ll also be able to meet and plot strategy with other members of your team.

Be sure to come hungry because this evening will also give you the opportunity to try out several of Phoenix’s great food truck vendors like Carh’s Kitchen, Frites St. and Kruzin Cuisine! There will also be several cash bars, a DJ and a photobooth on site.

For more information on this exciting evening or to purchase tickets, visit the Children’s Museum of Phoenix’s website. Past attendees advise that you get your tickets early online because these events sell out quickly!
