Whether you are a Kia Soul fan, a musical hamster fan or a quirky combination of the two, you’ve probably seen the latest Soul commercial featuring our favorite spokesrodents jamming out to the tune of “Dueling Banjos.” The commercial, which launched in late May, distracted most of us with adorable costumes, but we did happen to notice that the end slide hinted that a new turbocharged version of the Soul is coming this winter.
The award-winning Kia Soul has consistently charmed buyers with its unique personality, technological features and the versatile cargo space. A turbocharged engine like those featured in the Kia Forte or the Kia Optima will add a more sporty and speedy option to the subcompact hatchback’s exciting lineup. Although no details have been released on the engine specs, we can look back to the 2015 Chicago Auto Show where we saw two different turbo concepts for the Soul.
While we know all of you Kia fans are probably gripping your seats in anticipation (believe us, we are too), we must remind you that we still have a few months to wait.
