Whether you are a Kia Soul fan, a musical hamster fan or a fun combination of the two, you’ve probably seen the latest Soul commercial featuring our favorite spokesrodents jamming out to the tune of “Dueling Banjos.” The commercial, which launched in late May, distracted most of us with adorable costumes, but we did happen to notice that the end slide noted that a new turbocharged version of the Soul is coming this winter.
The award-winning Kia Soul has consistently charmed buyers with its unique personality, technological features and the versatile cargo space. A turbocharged engine like those featured in the Kia Forte or the Kia Optima would add a sportier and speedier option to the subcompact hatchback’s exciting lineup. Although no details have been released on the engine specs yet, there is room for speculation based on the turbo concepts for the Soul displayed last year at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show.
We know all of you Kia Soul fans are probably bursting with anticipation right about now. Believe us, we are too! We can't wait for more details to emerge on this secretive new model.
