The Phoenix Heart Walk is set to come back to the Valley this month. The walk is taking place on Saturday, March 19, 2016 in Downtown Phoenix and will be the perfect way to give back to the people of Arizona.
The annual Heart Walk is put on by the American Heart Association, which works to put an end to heart disease and other cardiovascular issues. According to their mission statement, “Our mission is to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke — the nation’s No.1 and No.5 killers.”
The fundraising goal for this year’s walk is $1.7 million; funds that will go toward the association’s mission to ending cardiovascular diseases. So far, walkers have raised more than $1.4 million, but more walkers are needed to help them reach their goal!
To find out more about the 2016 Phoenix Heart Walk, visit the AHA’s website. There you can register for the walk and/or donate to the cause. This is a wonderful event happening in Phoenix, so we hope you’ll join in on the fun this March!
