Kia is one of the most innovative brands in the auto industry. Its lineup is also diverse, and you can find a Kia that’s safe, comfortable, and perfect for daily driving, but you also have options if you’re looking for a sportier and more performance-oriented ride. Kia’s vehicles regularly improve and evolve in critical areas, including performance and technology. The 2024 lineup brings some exciting changes in these areas based on the car you want to get.
Kia Performance Features
If you’re looking for a fun and sporty car to drive, the Kia K5 is a perfect choice. This car is designed for comfort and performance with a 2.5L four-cylinder engine under its hood. The Kia K5 has an impressive power output with up to 290 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque. You’ll even get a sportier dual-clutch automatic transmission with the Kia K5. The K5 can accelerate from 0-60 MPH in less than six seconds and has a sport-tuned suspension for superior handling. The Kia Seltos may be a small SUV, but it is big on performance this year with a turbo engine under its hood capable of a nearly 200-horsepower power output. All-wheel drive is also standard on select trim levels. The Sorento, a popular Kia SUV, has an expanded list of powertrain options. Along with the standard engine, you can get a turbo engine with a power output of 181 horsepower. This engine is connected to a smooth-shifting automatic transmission.
If you’re looking for an electric-powered vehicle instead, you have options in the 2024 Kia lineup. The Kia EV6 is an electric-powered vehicle that you can get with either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The rear-wheel drive models produce a maximum of 225 horsepower, while the all-wheel drive models produce up to 576 horsepower with a dual-engine design. The EV6 also has regenerative braking.
Kia Technology Features
In 2024, Kia outfitted many vehicles with upgraded safety technology called Drive Wise. Pedestrian and bicyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, and blind-spot collision avoidance are added to this year’s safety aid package. Smart cruise technology and highway driving assist, remote start parking assist, safe exit warning, and a surround-view monitor are also part of the package.
For other technology, Kia now offers optional dual panoramic displays on many vehicles this year, and its electric cars have fast charging times of 20 minutes or less.
