What's New For the 2020 Kia Sorento?

The 2020 Kia Sorento comes to the automobile industry as the newest Kia vehicle and the latest from the Sorento model line series. Fresh off the assembly line, the new Sorento comes in as a part of the third generation of Sorento vehicles for its series and has some newly refreshed bumpers and exterior lighting. It also has a quiet interior that is even more stylish than earlier models.

What are the Kia Sorento Trims & Features?

The 2020 Sorento is filled with its own set of trims with its unique features and amenities added to them. The new Sorento comes in nine different trim levels, under two categories: the 2.4L and the 3.3L types.

The 2.4L is the standard basic trim and has features such as electronic transmission control, 17-inch alloy wheels, speed-sensitive steering, and a spoiler. The 2.4LX is the next trim level up and has most of the same abilities as the 2.4L but also brings in chrome tip exhaust, power door mirrors, power windows, and auto-locking doors.

The 3.3L S is the next trim up and brings in optional side steps, black bodyside cladding, a black chrome surround grille, heated door mirrors, and a power drive cushion tilt. The 3.3L EX comes with a rear lip spoiler, a fully galvanized steel frame, remote keyless entry, a panoramic sunroof, and front dual-zone air conditioning.

The 3.3L SX is more advanced and adds features like power sunshade, a fixed antenna, smart device integration for Apple CarPlay, and automatic temperature control.

Raw Power and Stellar Performance

The 2020 Kia Sorento has a new engine that can accompany its power and strength when the car is in motion. The Sorento engine is one that runs on an 8-speed shiftable automatic transmission and a front-wheel drive train, although advanced trims have an all-wheel drive.

The engine itself can hold a 290 horsepower rating and deliver up to 252 pounds per feet of torque when in motion. When it comes to fuel, the car runs on regular unleaded fuel and can hold just under nineteen gallons of gasoline at one time.

Packed with Safety Features

The Kia Sorento, like any other new vehicle, is made to be safe and has a plethora of different security precautions to keep it as a safe and secure vehicle for all of its occupants. One of the first and most important safety features included here are rear door safety locks and child seat anchors for the smaller and younger passengers.

A pre-collision and post-collision safety system has been added to keep drivers alert for potential accidents and for car damage after an accident has taken place. Emergency braking assist features are installed to help avoid accidents if the brakes are damaged or fail. Daytime running lights have also been included to give drivers some extra light at all times, and dusk sensing headlamps that can detect the time of day and adjust accordingly for the driver.
