What's New for the 2021 Kia K5?
The 2021 K5 is Kia's newest offering and replaces the popular Optima. Like the Optima, the K5 is an impressive midsize sedan with a bold appeal from bumper to bumper, featuring fresh modern styling throughout the interior and exterior that places it in a class of its own. It's an exciting redesign that showcases a sporty, yet elegant, four-door exterior with sleek curves that will garner attention.

2021 K5 Trims & Features
The K5's trim levels for 2021 are the LX, the LXS, the GT-Line, the EX, and the GT. The base LX trim offers LED headlights, an 8-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and dual-zone automatic climate control. The LXS adds smartphone-based remote monitoring and control, rear passenger safe-exit system, and keyless entry with push-button start and remote ignition. Fog lights, power-adjustable driver's seat, USB ports for rear passengers, sporty and black exterior treatments, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel comes with the GT-Line.
The EX trim brings more luxury with heated and ventilated seats, wireless smartphone charging pad, panoramic sunroof, and simulated leather upholstery. Performance is the focal point of the GT trim, paired with features such as upgraded brakes, sport front seats, GT-Line styling, and a sport-tuned suspension.

2021 Kia K5 Horsepower
All trims except the GT comes with a standard turbo 1.6-liter, four-cylinder engine. This is paired with an eight-speed transmission. With this powertrain in your K5, you can appreciate the feel of 180 horsepower under your control. The GT trim level steps up with a 2.5-liter turbo, four-cylinder engine. This impressive 290-horsepower engine works in tandem with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission with paddle shifters. However, for the first time, there's the thrilling option of adding all-wheel drive to any trim. This enhancement actively distributes torque between all tires for more traction and control.
Kia K5 Safety

Many of the advanced safety features in the 2021 Kia K5 are standard in all trims. The Drive Wise technologies in the K5 include lane keep assist, auto emergency braking, lane follow assist, electronic stability control, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance, high beam assist, safe exit assist, and others. New to the K5 and the Kia brand is the available Forward Collision-Avoidance (FCA)-Junction Turning. This innovative function aims to help drivers avoid collisions by allowing the front camera and radar to detect vehicles when turning at intersections. For more information about how these features work, our Camelback Kia associates will be happy to assist you.
