Conceptual artist Theophilius Chin has created an impressive looking Kia pickup truck that makes us once again crave to see a workhorse wonder from the Korean automaker.

Kia has been putting out some terrific new concepts over the last few months that are pushing the automaker's lineup into a very innovative direction, but we've yet to see a pickup model make the cut. Known for their dependablity, Kia has long been looking for the right time to introduce a work truck that could challenge some of the more aging entries in the segment.

Kia’s first – and only – foray in to the pickup market was the Kia Mojave concept that was a huge hit when it debuted in 2004. Back then, Kia was simply testing the waters with consumers and had no real plans to put the Mojave into production. That didn’t stop many Kia fans from wanting the concept truck though; a desire jump-started yet again by Chin’s drawing.

There’s no word on whether Kia will begin discussing a pickup model in the coming months, but keep your fingers crossed that this concept design might actually kick something off at the automaker. For now, take a look at Chin’s concept drawing above to see what a future Kia pickup may look like.
