Kia is a global leader in the automotive world, and it recently added another accomplishment to its lengthy list. Kia's all-electric vehicle, the EV9, has earned the Mass Market award in the J.D. Power 2025 U.S. Tech Experience Index Study. The 2025 EV9 earned this recognition for its one-pedal driving system that drivers find efficient, convenient, and user-friendly.

About the Award

Each year, the J.D. Power Tech Experience Index (TXI) Study honors automakers that make vehicles with technology that consumers find most effective, efficient, and satisfying. The study considers vehicles across 100 different types of advanced technology. Nearly 40 auto brands are included in the annual survey, and responses to the TXI survey choose the winner. In 2025, the J.D. Power TXI Study evaluated over 76,000 survey responses. Across all technology categories, J.D. Power looked at customer experience, satisfaction, and demand after customers owned their car for 90 days.

This year, the EV9 was selected for its One-Pedal Driving mechanism. While the one-pedal driving system is not unique to Kia, the automaker was chosen as the TXI Study recipient for the EV9's innovative and practical One-Pedal Driving system. Along with improving vehicle performance and efficiency, the EV9's One-Pedal Driving system makes the electric vehicle fun and engaging. Earning the J.D. Power TXI Study award this year gave the EV9 recognition as a standout electric vehicle, and it earned Kia the second spot among mass market auto brands for execution, innovation, and market depth.
