Stop the presses! We have officially arrived in the "future" as the world's first 3D-printed car just rolled off the assembly line.

Called the Strati, the auto was manufactured here in Phoenix at the tech company, Local Motors, and is a fully functioning prototype that was made almost entirely by a 3D-printer.

Kia Motors received some divine intervention this week, when Pope Francis chose a Kia Soul as his touring vehicle during his five-day trip to South Korea. The Pope, known for his predilection for smaller, compact cars, slipped into the backseat of a black Kia Soul after his plane landed in South Korea's capital of Seoul.

Diesel cars have been steadily infiltrating the U.S. market and their excellent sales have led several automakers to join the frenzy, developing their own set of diesel models to enter the demanding segment. Kia, a brand that has experienced growth in the American market, is one of the most recent manufacturers to come forward in support of the diesel uprising, revealing that a U.S. diesel car could be in the company's future plans.

Strategic Vision recently released their 2014 Total Quality Index Study, where they presented Kia with the highest Total Quality Score out of all the mainstream brands included in the analysis. The automaker's two standout models, the 2014 Soul and Optima, took the top spots in their segments, leading to Kia's overall victory and establishing the company as a prominent competitor in the automotive market.

The 2014 Kia Soul & Optima have been recognized for their appeal in the automotive market, earning Vehicle Satisfaction Awards from marketing research company AutoPacific. A popular model under the Kia namesake, the Optima won for the second year in a row for Best-In-Class Mid-Size Car and the Soul took home its first-ever award for Best-In-Class Compact Car.

The 2015 Kia Forte is on its way and it's being offered in two trim levels for the new model year: LX and EX. Minor enhancements include additional interior room, revised ride quality and improvements in fuel economy, but overall, the sedan comes with the same outstanding features fans have grown to love, which have contributed to its award-winning history.

Fully functional and beautifully designed, the 2015 Kia Optima has arrived, exhibiting minor updates for the new model year. Available in five different trim levels, LX, EX, SX, SX Turbo, and SX-Limited, the midsize sedan continues to offer many of the same excellent features as its 2014 predecessor, along with a few new components that will better serve drivers and passengers during their commutes.
